If you're just back from the Johnson days at W&L

They told us 2 weeks at the interview though.

Yes, that's what I was told also.

Oh, I want to hibernate so badly!
Please post here as soon as you hear back about Johnson scholarship!

The letters are going out later this week:

W&L Admissions: Letters

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! im so nervous!!!

I know someone in Tennessee who's already found out that she's a Johnson Scholar

WHAT! oh crap, maybe they sent all the accepted letters out first, and then all the rejection letters.

If that were the case, then there would be atleast a few more people going HOORAY on this blog right now

The blog post that I included above is the most accurate source of information right now. However, I had a scholarship interview yesterday with none other than Dean of Admissions Bill Hartog. He said that the acceptance letters (for admission) would be going out next Thursday and that Johnson Scholarship letters would be sent at the very end of this week or the beginning of next.

I thought a Johnson invite = acceptance, is that wrong?

pswib, you were at W&L two weeks ago for the Johnson Scholarship interviews and you were back there on Tuesday for a different scholarship interview?

I am a parent of a student anxiously awaiting the results of the Johnson Scholarship competition. And now it might be "beginning of next" week? Oh, great...a further delay seems likely.

Yes, I was there for the Johnson Scholarship interviews, but Dean Hartog came to New Orleans on Tuesday for a local interview. He said that we would definitely know everything (Johnson Scholarship, admission, etc.) in "the next 7-10 days." He also called the mailing date "a moving target." Basically, they don't know when they are going to get everything in the mail yet.

Thanks for the info. It is so hard waiting! Of course S is still waiting on admissions decisions from other schools, financial aid awards from schools he's been accepted at, etc.

You must have been interviewing for this scholarship?

"The Joseph Merrick Jones, Jr. Family and John Minor Wisdom Honor Scholarships recognize students from the New Orleans Alumni Admissions Program area and are valued at full tuition."

Ohhhh goodness! I'm dying here.
I wish they would just send out the letters already!

They have just sent them out.

W&L Admissions

They went to mail services. I don't know if that means they will actually go out and be postmarked in today's mail? If so, then letters should start arriving on Monday. However, if they didn't go out today, they probably won't go out until Monday, which means letters won't be arriving until Wednesday or so (at the earliest).

Good luck everyone!

perhaps this is just wishful thinking, but i'm pretty sure that they wouldve hadem postmarked today, they went to "mailing services," i doubt they just got dumped in a mailbox

according to the facebook group, letters were mailed today!

about 36 hours to go! AHHHHHH
