how is the Illinois institute of technology?
do we get aid?
do all undergrads get a job?
how much will the jobs pay(on an average)?
what will be total cost of attendance?????

Answers as follows:

I will let others tell you their impressions of IIT but as a professor, i think the education is quite rigorous as are most AITU schools.

IIT provides some financial aid to international students. Each student’s case will vary.

If you are talking about on-campus jobs, not all students want or need one. Those who do can find work on campus. Not sure how hard it is to find these jobs though.

The jobs likely start at $8-10/hr

You have to work with the financial aid office for this. The tuition, room and board costs are on the IIT Admission web site. These do not include any financial aid package you might receive.

I am a senior, and I’ve really enjoyed my time at IIT. I’d visit the website and read as much as you can online, and if you have any specific questions about the school I’d be happy to answer them.

Most students get some merit-based aid, but every student is different.

No, not all undergrads need jobs, but most people who’d like an on campus job can find one. It’s much easier if you have work-study, but there are other options too. You can do undergraduate research in on-campus labs, and some professors will pay you. You can also apply to be a Resident Advisor once you are a sophomore, and if you are selected you will get free housing/meal plan as an RA.

4/5. See the first response for great answers.

I am a freshman and I have just completed my first semester. I haven’t spent much time here (4 months isn’t much eh?) but these four months have been really good.

We’re from the same part of the world. Scholarship depends on your profile. I got a pretty good scholarship covering a little above 60% of my total cost of attendance.

As the people above have mentioned, not everybody needs a job. But to be frank, getting an on-campus is not so easy. There are a lot of students who apply for these jobs.

Well, I think most jobs (maybe around 60%, I am not sure) pay you the minimum wage ($8.25/hr).

xraymancs got it!
