<p>Hello I got a scholarship offer of 22.5k, but the cost of attendance is 50k. I'lll need at least 40k scholarship/aid to make it affordable to me. How can I request this and is this possible?</p>
<p>You have to call the Admissions office and see if they can make it work for you. The first step, if you are a U.S. student, is to file your FAFSA so that the financial aid office has all the information. Then make contact with the Admissions Office after January 5, when they open again.</p>

In addition to what was mentioned above I would also recommend taking a look at some of the resources on the Illinois Tech Financial Aid Page - http://web.iit.edu/financial-aid/resources You’ll find a listing of some outside scholarships which you may consider applying for in order to help cover the cost of education.
