I'm currently a freshman in high school and my grades are not what I want it to be.

I am currently at the second semester of my year, and for the first semester my GPA is 3.71. Does freshman grades matter a lot to the college committee?

Freshman grades do not matter as much as later grades in high school. Work really hard this last semester to bring up your GPA. Don’t stress too much about freshman grades, but you should keep working toward your goal GPA in the next three years. Colleges like seeing improvement. Good luck!

Don’t worry too much about your freshman year grades. Just work to improve over the next few years, and colleges may even see the improvement as a good thing. They won’t beat you up over grades that are a little lower during your first semester of high school.
