I'm in FPF, set on dropping a class

I already fulfilled my 1B requirement with my 5 on BC but I got thrown into a 1B lecture and discussion anyways. Pretty much dead set on dropping it no matter what. Do I need to keep attending the lectures and discussions until I officially drop the class (FPF requires appointments to add/drop classes and they keep getting filled up as soon as they are available) or can I just not show up?

Not showing up is not a good idea. College students often assume that if they just stop going to a class they will be automatically dropped but instead get a nasty surprise later when they look at their transcripts and see that they were given an F for the course.

If you did not learn the differential equations stuff in 1B that is not commonly included in high school calculus courses, you may want to keep 1B so that you know it for 54 (or other courses that list 1B as a prerequisite but assume basic differential equations knowledge). If you drop 1B, be sure to self-study the differential equations stuff before taking those other courses.

ahhhh you got stuck like me last year -_____- is the FPF drop deadline here already? It shouldn’t be that hard to drop…Just go up and talk to Meera or Noem or someone. Sign up ASAP to get a good time/date, or tell them it’s urgent. Gahh but you should have signed up for concurrent enrollment for math 53/54. They need to let people know about this! If you can’t drop, just work for an A…if you have Bourgoin it should be fine if you got a 5 on BC.
