my common app was Downloaded yesterday, but it's still missing according to the Pathway.

my school reports, teacher's recs, 'essay' are also missing.

BTW, WHAT ESSAY?!?! i thought there isn't any extra essay, just the common app one?

and i'm an immigrant, so english is not my first language. however, i've never heard of the TOEFL or the IELTS test. do I have to take these things even those I am currently a permanent resident? do they just mean the international applicants?

a) I’m guessing it might take a few days to get the Common App to show up as submitted on your Pathway, since so many apps are coming in around this time. It’ll show up, though, no worries, and if it doesn’t, just contact your application processor.

b) You may want to get into contact with your teachers and counselor to see if they’ve sent in their parts of the application. It might just take a while to get to Wash U (I know my transcript & school report took FOREVER to get there, but the admissions people eventually got them).

c) The essay is the Common App essay, so whenever your Common App shows up as being received on the Pathway, the essay will have a green check mark as well.

d) Is English your primary language at home and at school? If it is, then you should be fine. I actually had a somewhat similar issue - I’m not an immigrant, but English was not the first language I learned. I’ve never had to take an ESOL/English as a second language class, though, and English is my primary language spoken at home and at school, so I know for sure that I don’t have to take the TOEFL. I did contact my application processor just in case, but you might not even need to do that.

Hope I helped. Relax, you have until the 15th, and I’m sure you’ll be just fine. :)
