rushes to submit ED II because I think it will improve my chances
hasn’t completed an application ever before this
can’t figure out financial aid because of legal gray area in parent’s divorce
asks to change it to RD so I can figure out financial aid
can’t edit application even if it’s now RD because it’s submitted
definitely not going to get accepted now because my application and essays were awful
been my dream school since 7th grade and i ruined it because i’m stupid
thanks god
If you have been dreaming of this school (or any school) since 7th grade why weren’t you prepared or organized to have your application ready to go and of the quality you wanted? I don’t think God has anything to do with it. Just you.
don't be nearsighted, i have more responsibilities than just filling out applications and as such i was unable to devote all of my attention to them. i feel bad about it already. trust me. 2. my gratitude is hyperbolic.
hmm so sorry to hear that! I hope that you somehow going to make it! Let me know
“can’t figure out financial aid because of legal gray area in parent’s divorce” been there haha
You're disappointed because you know it wasn't your best work. We've all been there. Have a small pity party-- ours usually include ice cream, even in winter-- and move on.
You don't know the status of your application. Your qualifications may be decent enough that you get accepted any way. So don't lose hope.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. So start to get the rest of your apps into the shape you want them to be. GET THEM DONE... it's way past time to be getting to this.
I've never been a huge fan of "dream schools." To quote Tinkerbell: "A dream is a wish your heart makes." Dreams are fine. But the reality is that there are any number of schools where you can live and learn and thrive. Find them, and get the applications done.
We're big believers in the idea that God will put you where you need to be. If you don't believe in God, you can substitute "the universe." But if you don't get into Smith, you can still have a successful, happy life.
Now, find some other schools. And figure out those finances, you'll need them no matter where you go.
See if you can set up an interview. My D did an alumni interview on the West Coast. If you feel your application wasn’t strong enough you have nothing to lose. Can you add in any supplements? Writing, art photography, music? I think but not sure those can still be added (I think u can add up to the 15th). If not reach out to head of any of those departments with an introduction email. Good luck. You never know and I know at least with my D she tends to be really hard on herself. You might actually be totally fine with your application. Work on your FA issues right away though. These are pretty stressful times. You can get through this!
Good luck!!! It’ll all work out in the end. Also this is irrelevant but Cinderella said “a dream is a wish your heart makes” not Tinkerbell lol (re. post #4).
