I start my junior year in a few weeks, but I’m already stressed about next summer. I recently transferred to a four year university after attending a community college, and I might need to take a course or two in the summer in order to fulfill all of the requirements. My other option would be taking one or two 20 credit semesters, but I have a work-study and I don’t know if I could handle the load. If I do take the summer courses I wouldn’t have an internship, and I don’t know how I could afford that…
Would it be possible for you to get a “part time” internship rather than a full time one?
My internship this summer was only 10 hours a week (but realistically, it was more along the lines of 7 to 8 hours a week since I finished my projects early) – an internship that is 20 hours or less a week would allow you to balance a summer course.
I will definitely look into that, because I could easily handle that! Thanks for mentioning it!
I would take it easy the first quarter or semester to see how you adjust to four year college.
What is your major? Do you expect to graduate in 2 years? Many transfer students graduate in 3 years.
