Tomorrow is my first day of community college and I am scared. My math and english class are waitlisted (im the last in both). Im not sure my math teacher know how to teach calculus (she had no ratings for calc in rmp.com) and my english teacher is way too easy. My schedule has gaps between classes, and some of the classes are three days a week while others are 5. I did not buy the parking pass, so im scared it will be sold out. Im scared that I won't find parking, even though my classes start at 7 and 8. I have not bought any books yet. Im in a club and I don't know how it will be. Im scared that there's something I was supposed to do but I feel that I forgot.

hahahh lmao!

backinblack,
just take a deep breath. you will be just fine.

stop freaking out.. your problems seem way too trivial to be worried.

calc is never that simple

if your english prof is popular, dont expect the class to lose any seats

everyone has bad schedules, why should you expect anything different

why are you so jittery?

if you're this nervous, wait till you transfer

haha scarycat

Hey you guys, be nice! Everyone is nervous at the beginning of something big and new. Take a deep breath, as TheIcon says, and just take one step at a time. You are packing all your worries into one big worry, and things will sort themselves out, with your pro-active help, very soon. Chillax!

Here's some advice that'll get you through life:

Man up.

So... how was your first day?

Oh man. It seems so long ago but that entire time period from when I applied to when I got my decisions was the most nerve racking time of my life.

OP: I'm kind of a jittery guy too, but these guys are right. Just calm down and make sure you do well in your classes. Don't let your prof not having a calc rating be an excuse to do badly. If you start off strong, it'll be a lot easier to maintain that.

In terms of not getting classes: The good news is that you still have a good amount of semesters and winter/summer sessions ahead of you.

If you can not get into the Math or English class, just focus on getting into some other (UC-Transferable) classes this semester, that way you have the units on your transcript and you can always do the Math/English classes you need next semester or intersession!
