I applied to Williams ED about four weeks ago. Four weeks after school started this year, I asked my teachers to write my recommendation letters. The Williams ED deadline was today, and one of my teachers has not yet submitted the recommendation letter via Naviance!! Every week or so, I reminded this teacher about the deadline and she continued to state that she would get it done, but she hasn't submitted it! What is going to happen to me? Will my application be looked down upon or considered incomplete without the second recommendation (they require two)? I called the office of admissions and they said it was okay, but I'm still worried! Please help me! :(

You called Williams and they said not to worry. Are you really going to place more trust in the answers you get from strangers on the Internet than in the answer you got from the college itself? That doesn’t make sense to me.

If I were in your position, I would feel nervous, too. But, really, believe the favorable answer you got from the only people whose answer matters.

You’re right . It will all work out. This is all extremely unnerving for myself and my family. Many thanks!

IS she sending it now? Really very unprofessional of her.

As of this moment, Naviance reports that she has not submitted it.

Talk to your guidance counselor.

Sons past applying, but friend told me schools are extending ED and EA deadlines to Dec 1 due to Hurricane Sandy. (Our district was closed for 8 school days here so that will help this area.)

Many colleges and universities have extended deadlines somewhat.

I haven’t heard of any, however, that have extended the deadline until Dec. 1. How on earth would they announce decisions by Dec. 15?
