Background: I completed 2 years at my original university, took this year off when I decided to transfer.

Last April I was filling out my study abroad form when I realized I needed a signature of someone in the study abroad office. The form was due that day and the office was closed, so I panicked and filled in the signature since I thought that if I didn't get the form in I wouldn't be able to study abroad. Stupid move, I know, but all I can say is that I must have thrown logic out the window in the heat of the moment.

Long story short, they found out, put on disciplinary probation until November 2009. As I mentioned, I decided not to come back this year (unrelated reasons).

My question is, for the schools that require a letter from the Dean stating that I am/was in good standing, am I technically in good standing since my probation ended in November? I realize that I still need to disclose this, but would this give me an automatic rejection or a major strike against my application? If it matters I'm applying to transfer a few schools...top on my list would be Georgetown, UVA and Brown.
