Are you referring to impacted admission or impacted enrollment for these majors?

admission,

All College of Letters and Science majors are equally "impacted", which is to say that they aren't at all impacted. It's a common misconception that popular majors within the College (Political Science, pre-Business Economics, Mathematics, Biochemistry) are harder to be admitted into at the freshman level, and that your best shot is to apply undeclared. This is false; UCLA simply admits more applicants for these majors in response to demand, rather than limiting the admits for each major, because it goes against the spirit of the College itself. The only truely impacted majors at the admission level are the ones in UCLA's specialized schools, i.e. Engineering and Applied Science, Arts and Architecture, etc. CS (Computer Science) and CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) are as impacted as you can get... we're talking about a 11-19% admit rate for these majors.
