Impacted Majors?

Is it “easier” to get into UC(UCB,UCLA,UCD) if you pick a non-impacted major. I know that any engineering major will be harder to get into…but what bout majors at L&S? Like for instance would it be easier to get in if you applied as a"studies" major(african-american studies, religious studies, chicano studies…), compared to like a history, poli sci, International Relations major? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

yes it is a lot easier. your numbers don't have to be as high, but I've been told if you have a certain impacted major in mind that you want to go to, you should just apply for it and go to the best place for the major you know you want. i hear it is difficult to change to impacted majors because spaces are reserved for incoming freshmen and/or your college GPA has to be significantly high (3.5)

OIC ya i've been hearing different stuff from the Berkeley Board. Which one is true? haha thanks Dru2k for replying

Which majors are known as the "easier" majors?

Religious Studies, AA studies,Chicano Studies, anything with studies attached to it.
