Importance of act score

random but on topic with standardized test scores - does someone with is a 28 on the ACT have a chance as a regular decision applicant or not at all?

honesty PLEASE.

if person has 3.98 GPA and took all AP's offered at school and alot of extra curriculars, does he/she have a chance despite the 28??

Yes…remember, NYU has broadened is standardized testing policy. That tells me they’re looking at a more comprehensive profile of the student and view the test as one measure of academic performance. I’d say your essay will be the key. They want students who display passion, imagination, focus, as well as good in tests. Have your essay show them who you are and why you’re a great fit for NYU. Good luck and be positive. Spoken as a parent that has a son applying to Tisch…

You don’t have to send in the 28 ACT. Have you looked at the new standardized testing requirements? You can send in just 3 SATs (specific tests), or three SAT IIs (without the SAT I).
