Hi I'm an 09'er who paid decent money to get professional editing.
But when I got my essay back, I realized that the essay sucked even more so than before.
I need someone else to edit my essay. Leave a comment and I'll PM you my essay.
Thanks.

lol at paying for editing. you fail.

Don't trust the internet.
Your work could be leaked and get into all sorts of trouble.
I would suggest you NOT to pm your essay to anyone.
Like Steven said, give it to your English teacher or your Conunsoler....
they will sure help you

My English teacher can't edit worth a crap.
And I don't think anybody would want to steal my terrible essay anyway.
Worth a shot.

lol, I got my teacher to proofread mine for like 20 times. For the second essay I wrote, she flat out said "it sucks" although not the exact words lol. I got a little embarrassed, but I wouldn't waste my money to get professional editing from some unknown man from the internet. You English teacher can't help much except checking your grammars and how your essay flows. You have to be the one who puts all the information on there.

So is anybody willing to help me edit?

It is possible. It is the internet...he or she hold just post it on the internet. and if people find it, they could say you have plagarized the essay online. Think about it, nowadays admision people even check out facebook and myspace, so i can totally see them googling for JInlee7653's essay

I'll help you out.

I'm a college freshman who's edited dozens of essays on this forum.

The whole idea of the essay is to show another side of yourself to the college admission's people. They want you to present it in your own writing style and in your own "voice". Your English teacher, high school guidance counselor, or any teacher that you have a decent relationship with can help you with this. I suggest you create an essay in your own voice. Let your essay fill in the gaps of your application. Talk about an event, a hobby, an experience, a passion, or anything that can give the colleges a clearer picture of who you are and what helps you stand out among the rest of the applicants. Character, humor, integrity, passion, etc.---write from your heart. Write your essay in a way where your qualities shine through within the story---without coming right out and saying it. You'll know you've picked the right theme for your essay when the words flow easily. Good luck.
