Important RESUME question for all...

How should I format them? I have a LONG list of EC's with a LOT of leadership that I couldn't possibly fit into the app. How did the acceptees do this? Please respond asap.

I didn't send a resume. I just listed my MOST important ECs on the app.

I didnt send a resume either...i did the same as caballero

you cannot send a resume to columbia, in the ec's section they specifically ask for it in the space provided, so it would be unadvisable to send a resume.

I didn't send in a resume. In fact, I left several spaces blank in the EC section (most of the non-school EC slots were empty, and I didn't even fill up the in-school EC portion, which is what, 7 spaces?).

if you really need to send it with your cons rec and secondary school report, thats what some people need. yes columbia specifically asks you to not send in a resume but you can, worse comes to worse they wont look at it, most of the time they do (i hope always)

i attached a picture of myself to the resume

If you send in a resume you'll probably just come across as being too scattered. I'd strongly advise that you just use what space is given and list the activities/awards that mean the most to you.

what if you have to send one? i need to explain my activities e.g. my organisations name is 'Bimal Sangat' writing that down wont help

I concur with the rest here; my S did not send a resume; Columbia wants you to distill your most important ECs to the size they have provided.

lovecolumbia; i suggest either give a thumbnail explanation in parentheses on the same line, or, if really necessary, put a brief description in the "is there anything else you need to add" box.

ditto what Garland says.
