Impossible to transfer to UCSB for engineering?

<p>I'm at a community college right now and I wanted to TAG transfer to UCSB as a mechanical engineering major. Well unfortunately one of the required courses on assist.org is not offered anywhere at all near me. Since it's listed as required, does that mean it's impossible for me to transfer? Anyone in the same situation as me?</p>

<p>No, just expect to take the class when you transfer there; Complete as many lower division courses as offered by your CC, maintain a good GPA, and youll be okay</p>

<p>Alright that’s good to hear. Will I still be eligible for TAG though?</p>

<p>As long as you have a 3.20 overall gpa and minimum of 3.40 in prepetory course work.</p>

<p>“The following GPA requirements apply for the College of Engineering TAG. Applicants must:
• Earn an overall minimum 3.20 GPA in all UC transferable course work by the end of fall 2012;
• Earn a minimum 2.0 GPA in all UC transferable course work in fall 2012 term;
• Earn an overall minimum 3.40 GPA in all major preparatory course work by the end of fall 2012;
• Maintain an overall minimum 3.40 GPA in all major preparatory course work through the end of
spring 2013”</p>
