All the AP teachers at my school insisted on having their classes periods 2-4, which means I have a messy situation at hand. Right now, I do not have German, but I need a fourth year so I was planning to study independently. Now I realize talking and listening is crucial, so I want to take the class, but it's the same time as Calculus. I can move Calc to fourth, move Government to third....

Long story short, I won't have AP Economy if everything works out. Some people told me it was the easiest of the APs to self-study for. Do you guys think that's a good idea?

As long as you're up to it, most independent study courses will work for you. My problem is procrastination. An independent study course always gets bumped to the end of my never-ending list of hw to do during the school year. This year I'm taking lots of APs, so if I took an independent study course I would never have time for it. As long as you make it a priority though, it'll work for you. And yes, it's probably the easiest AP to self-study, especially if you're only planning on taking one of the economics tests (Macroeconomics or Microeconomics) because taking only one equates to a one-semester college introductory course, as opposed to AP Calc, which equates to a yearlong college introductory course. You'll have half as many topics to cover if you self-study for only one of the economics tests.
