I am a junior, and by the end of this year I will have taken most of the advanced classes at my school. I's a socialstudies/english guy, so I would like to take more classes in these feilds. The problem is that I have taken the available courses at my school, and college courses really won't work out for me next year. I figured the problem wouls be easy to solve: take independent study. Only, at my school, basically the only way to get this approved is if there is an AP test. I think I may be able to convince the administration to allow me to take an independent study literature course if I tell them it will further prepare me for the Literature and Composition AP test. I can say I feel as though my current English class doesn't provide me the amound of study I think is necessary. I would like to have a course outline of some sort ready for when I make my proposition to the principal. Is there anyone that could help me out with making this? I was thinking it would be mostly based on reading books (possiblly a chronological study starting with classic literature) and writing an essay on some aspect of each book. Post if you have any suggestions for me.

anybody? Bueller?

I'm not sure if you meant that you've already taken it or not, but the UNL-Independent Study High School offers the AP Lit & Comp course through their program. This can be included with the rest of your HS credits and count towards graduation from your high school. They also offer some other literature/english courses.
