Independent studying the AP's... good/bad idea?

Hi guys!
I'm a junior this year and am planning on taking the AP Biology, Statistics and Government Exams next year. I will be taking these subjects as independent courses because none of them, unfortunately, fitted into my schedule =[
I'm really interested in majoring in Biology or Political Science in college and in all honesty would just like to possibly use my scores for the whole placement process... if they're good enough.
For those of you who have taken or are taking any of these courses, does my plan seem impossible?
Any suggestions on which two I should choose from the three?

*The only reason I wanted to take Statistics is because I'd just really like to get it out of the way. Also, it seems like a better idea if I take Stats with Bio or Gov't together than if I take Bio and Gov't together, or all three of them at the same time.
Please help... Thanks! =]

Hello… If you want to study bio, that will take a lot of time and a lot of memorization. It’s not bad if you have the time and do a little everyday. Statistics I suggest you not do independent study. The concepts are not hard, but your understanding will not be very strong as there are a lot of minute details and tricky things… I just took the test today.

I’m self-studying 5 exams. I just study them during school, so it definitely can be done! Just depends on you.

Well I can’t say much for AP Biology, but I independent studied AP US Government and I found that it was definitely manageable. The class really just tests overarching principles and theories and really just applying them to our politics. To prepare for the test I really just read an AP textbook and then just did stuff out of review books for the last month and I think it turned out quite well. Go for it!

Sounds great. Thanks for the advices guys =]
