Got into both as well as some other schools but these are my top two. Financials aren't a factor. I'm looking to major in business but am not 100% on that. Visited UMD and loved it, haven't visited Indiana yet. Got directly admitted to IU business but not UMD business. Love sports so I will be using the recreational facilities every day. Just wondering which would probably be a more enjoyable experience as well as prepare me for the future better. Thanks

Indiana is a great business school and great campus. I would go with IU. Basketball team is completely on the rise.

Thanks. Others?

My information is 30 years old, but the physical education facilities at IU were very good. Looking at the web pages (e.g. search for HPER at Indiana), they still appear to be very good. I took a phys. ed. course every semester I was there, just to try new things and to stay active. There were (and are) many club and intramural sports.

Business school at IU has an excellent reputation, but not my area, so I have no direct information about it nor about the program at Maryland. IU is in one of the nicest areas in Indiana. It is pretty self-contained and very student-oriented (Bloomington ~80K residents; IU-Bloomington ~40K students, with 40% of the Bloomington residents being between 18 and 24, so the Bloomington number probably includes a good number of the IU-Bloomington students). It is not a big city scene by any means, and the nearest city (Indianapolis) is nothing like DC. Lots of sports in Indy, but probably not the affordable kind for most students.

I’m fairly certain IU business is better than UMD business (which you aren’t even guaranteed to get into)

For business, I’d say Indiana

Thank you guys. That helps. Indiana has risen for me then

Anyone else?

If you want business, then Indiana.

Well you got into the business school at iu which is better than umd’s anyway haha, but for sports, i think iu also. They are in Big 10(12) football, ohio state, penn state, mich, mich st, illinois, nebraska. And they are getting decent at basketball again which is good. Honestly the facilities for working out are probably identical for both school since every college these days has the same type of gym. Depends how your visit goes at iu.
