MIT is a science/math school so I know there'll be a lot of us there, but approximately what percent of each class is Indian? And also, do the Indians stick to themselves or mingle with other races?

MIT doesn't separate enrollment data by specific subgroup -- the best number I can get you is that the class of 2010 is approximately 30% Asian, and that includes students who identify themselves as being ethnically Indian (this is straight from Ben, whose office I am in at the moment).

Sorry that's not more precise.

:D I'm Indian! I'm in a group for indian's in class of '10 on facebook and there are 35 members...so probably that's about half the actual population. Once I get there I can tell you more about keeping to themselves i guess, but I probably will mingle plenty.

Well, in terms of graduate students, the Indian Institute of Technology is the #2 feeder for MIT grad school (#1 being MIT undergrad). So there are definitely a lot of Indians on campus, but not necessarily studying undergraduate fields.
