Info on Appointments

From the CGA web site:

Our first set of files in the regular admissions process has just completed review. Once these files are processed, we will begin sending out appointments. The earliest you can expect this to happen is probably the end of next week. We will do our best to have most appointments out by March 1st, but may still be reviewing files after that time.

I wouldn't necessarily count on March 1st, more like April 1st.

Whoo hooo!!!!!! Good Luck to everyone who is waiting on information. I will be checking my mailbox religiously over the next month or so and on the phone much trying to see what little info I can pry out of my AO. Hopefully Grant holds true on his word and calls when he hears something like he said he would. :):):)

Do you know when they will be reviewing the alternates' files?

I think that process is well under way. They are reviewing them all. Appointments should start coming out very soon.

Thanks boss!

Where on the USCGA website did you read that info about "completing review of first set of regular admissions files and some appointments ready to go out"? I can't find that announcement. The grass has grown back where my son wore a path to mailbox back in December waiting for early appointment. Sounds like it's time to start a new path!

It's on the bulletin boards under admissions. One of the AO's posted it.

OK-bulletin board, thanks. Will check it out!

Be patient. My son was an alternate (had the grades, the SAT/ACT scores, the community service, the AIM experience and more) for the class of 2010 and got his appointment in mid-April. Just don't give up hope. I remember how stressful it was when all his friends were getting ready for graduation and knew where they were going to school the next fall and he had not heard yet from the academy. It gets annoying and you may end up losing a little money on deposits at other schools, but if you really want to go to the CGA, it is really a small price to pay when you look at the big picture.
