Hello everyone, yesterday I got a letter telling me about my acceptance to FSU. By the end of the summer I'll get my A.A. in Miami Dade College so I was almost sure that I was going to FIU like most of the people here in Miami. Now I don't know if I should take the loans that I am being offered and attend FSU because I heard that FSU is a better university than FIU. I've being trying to look for some info about the I.T.'s departments in their website to make up my mind but I haven't decide yet. I've being living 4 years in the U.S, always in Miami, so this would be a totally new experience living out of my parents house. Can someone tell me which one is better? and also if is worthy getting into debt to go to school?

Help me please. I am desperate and so confused.
Thank you.

Congratulations on your acceptance to Florida State!

Here is a link to help start your search for information: [Major in IT / Information Technology / Undergraduate Program / School of Library & Information Studies / FSU - School of Library & Information Studies](http://slis.fsu.edu/Undergraduate-Program/Information-Technology/Major-in-IT)

so Florida State University is better than Florida International University???

I don’t think there is any doubt FSU is a better university than FIU.

However, this is for you to figure out. I suggest you start your review by looking at university common data sets (Google common data set and the school you want), review the various rankings, carefully read through the webpages of the university, even look at Wikipedia entries and follow the listed references. Are the references listed credible, or do they all come from the same place? Read everything you can find about the schools that interest you.

Finally, I suggest you visit the schools that interest you and speak with the faculty in the departments you want to know about. Then look at what you can afford…is aid available? Are loans appropriate? How will you repay any loans? Discuss your findings with your parents.

Lots to think about, but very exciting. College is a time to grow and start thinking like an adult.
