Looking at the Inprocessing Day pictures, I see that there is a medical check. If I was rated Potential NavQual but my vision changed between the DoDMERB check and the end of June to only Commision Qualified, what would happen. Nothing? Get sent home?

If your vision changes even .0000001 dipoters in any meridain they will scream at you and send you home tearing all your papers infront of you...

In order to be inprocessed you have to be at least commision qualified, which i beleive is +/-8 Diopers or 20/200 correctable to 20/20 (means you can wear glasses, w00t BCGs!). Being Potentially pilot/nav doesnt really mean much now. If i recall UN talking earlier, it only really matters in 2nd or 1st class year.

So you should be fine with your vision as long as you dont go blind between now and then.

You don't get an eye test on inprocessing day. They take height, weight, and then look over any medical info you bring.

Sometime during your first year, you will get your eyes checked, but the one that really counts is when you get them checked for your graduation physical later on. This used to occur during your 2 degree year (about 2 and a half years into your academy experience), but now they've moved it up to 3 degree year.
