My school divides it's clubs into interest clubs (debate club, fishing club, chess club, etc) and service clubs (key club, habitat for humanity, respect life, etc). Which one looks better to colleges, I am personally in Computer club, Robotics club, and FBLA which are all interest clubs. I am passionate about these clubs and hold officer positions, but I am afraid that if I don't do any service clubs and just do well to be honest really generic clubs that I won't stand out in the admissions pool. And by the way I do community service anyway on the side at my local hospital.

I think you’ll be fine. Doing service is a nice thing to do and it shows that you care about current problems, but it’s not an obligation. You already do community and that should be enough. I believe colleges want you have a passion about what you do. If you are passionate about community service then go for it, but if not then don’t waste your time on something you are not interested in.
