I have already shown some interest. But Wash U is one of my top choices, so I wanted to know if there is anything else I could do to show interest at this point?

Wash U is also my top choice and I have been showing a lot of interest since the beginning, including applying EDI, although I was deferred I continued to show interest. Before I decided on Wash U I visited and interviewed, since december I have e-mailed my admissions rep several times, called and am currently working on a package with my 1st semester grades, a new essay, a new activities sheet and a new letter of rec. For someone in your situation applying RD I suggest visiting, interviewing and e-mailing. A visit is obviously the greatest sign of interest.

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Make sure you're on the Wash U mailing list. Visit, definitely. Interview with admissions. Also meet with faculty or Dep't heads of departments in which you have an interest when you visit. I did. They're pretty much midwestern friendly, and they'll be happy to talk with you.

bump....
I would like as many ideas as I can get.

um, each region has a representative. when washington reps visited my school i kept in contact with them and emailed them questions etc. since each rep is geared toward my area. also talk to when you visit, if this applies, talk to some in the financial aid office to see a financial aid rep.

hmm ok so i applied to the danforth scholars program, but not for regular scholarships. i also didn't apply to the summer science program. however i plan on visiting in late february.

are they still doing interviews? and how bad does it look that i didnt apply to their scholarships? washu is looking really good right now, but i don't think they know how much i want to go there.

Is applying ED showing enough interest even if you don't visit? We went to an information session when they had one in our city.

i would visit
