Interested in CMU? Attend!

Come to the Sleeping Bag Sunday if you are interested in CMU! They are sending out mass emails because apparently a lot of kids are interested. Definitely come if you guys want to see how awesome CMU is and how social/fun we are. You will probably meet with lots of kids in your position (as they even set up a crappy point system in order to entice us to host you guys) so come! http://my.cmu.edu/site/admission/menuitem.62f95eafef4982c019300710d4a02008/
The dates are outdated but call the office if interested!

Just for fun, this is the email they sent us:

Hey guys, read this email about being a bagger host, we need them hardcore!

April has arrived and this year we expect over 900 admitted student to
visit campus. Your help in the past has been outstanding and we hope that
you will continue to volunteer your hosting generosity. Please find a link
to the April Yield Host Registration Page below. Once inside, you may
select any and all days that you would be willing to host an overnight
guest. Again, these are admitted students so they will be really psyched to
be here and it will be a good time.

Also, we are running a points race for the students who can host the most!
For each guest you host, you receive a point. At the end of the month we
will tally the points and award prizes.

Again, I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality. You make this
process possible.

Are there any other dates I could go between this weekend and next weekend? It appears that they only have the Celebration of Diversity this weekend and it would be great if I could spend overnight a few days afterward instead.

If I were to come down this weekend, would there be anywhere on campus to stay? (I didn't see anything about SBW this weekend, but I just quickly skimmed the page). I just got a letter about the priority waitlist option and would need to visit the campus before I make a decision.

Camene: I think there are dates that will be announced later.

Alex: Definitely visit the campus even if you can't stay overnight. I think you should call the office to see available spaces and times for the sleeping bag sunday. There is definitely a sleepin bag sunday thingy THIS sunday.

My son will be there with his sleeping bag this Sunday! (Going to JHU the week after).

Oh and for parents the Holiday-Inn in Oakland is only $79 + tax Sunday with the Entertainment Card discount. $151 is the lowest rate otherwise.

Do we have to sign up on the 10th? Because when i clicked on the 9th to register, it wouldn't let me.

I tried to register for the 8th and it wouldn't let me, but I'm not past the COD deadline (???).

How do parents get the entertainment card thing?

"How do parents get the entertainment card thing?"

Lots of schools and religious groups sell them locally or you can order one here http://entertainment.com/discount/home.shtml (the book comes with the card inside)

maybe the holiday inn wouldn't be the best choice... i got major food poinsoning from their milk once... ick. just sayin'.
