All I can say about the time delay is again, thank God for online admissions.

The admission packet arrived today via US mail. Curiously, we never received either the parent or the applicant versions of the "How We Evaluate Applicants" letter. Judging from everyone's reaction, we were lucky to have been spared the anxiety those letters created. I wonder what Middlebury's strategy was in deciding whom to inflict those letters on and whom to spare.

Good question HOPDad. While it's all good now, it'd be interesting to see the correlation between those who got the letter and who were rejected/waitlisted. We got the letters but son got in. Maybe by the skin of his teeth? :) Who knows and at this point, who cares 'cause I am just glad it worked out the way it did!

I think something is seriously wrong with the U.S. Postal Service in Middlebury, VT. I didn't get my alumni magazine this winter--the first time that has ever happened. Perhaps there is a mail truck sitting somewhere filled with undelivered parcels.

I didn't get either letter and was waitlisted...so who knows....I just really hope my waitlist letter doesn't take too long...and also the admissions parcels for all those lucky ones....let's hope the worst of the postal issue is over??

I just got my waitlist letter today!!! ha ha ha...two days to make it across the border, that's insanely fast

I think we can conclude that the Middlebury post office is an enigma we will never understand
