<p>do dorms have tryouts or is is a show-up thing?</p>
<p>It is quite competitive. Depending on how many come out for the team in each dorm, there may be tryouts. Many of the players were all county or even all state players in high school, but were a cut below scholarship athlete level.</p>
<p>Some of the reasons why it is so competitive is that 1) the guys play in full dress and 2) the championship is played in ND Stadium</p>
<p>Could an average joe like me play interhall football?</p>
<p>I didn't play in high school (only baseball).</p>
<p>Some of the kids I saw last year could easily play Div 2,3 football............ Like indicated above many came from solid HS teams,not all but enough talent to give some college level teams a game.</p>
