Internal Transfer From LSP (CAS) to Tisch: 4 Years?

Say I finish my LSP program after two years in the CAS track, then transfer to Tisch. Is it possible to graduate in 4 years? I ask this because I know LSP (Tisch) kids get out after one year...

I think that’d be tough. Can you try to transfer out of LSP after 1 year? Maybe apply for internal transfer after Fall 2010 semester finishes? I know plenty of freshman in their Spring semester who have transferred to a different college they’ll attend beginning in the fall, but I don’t know if this is possible for LSP students. Call the Admissions Office and find out?

I"m not sure how easy it would be to transfer into Tisch the junior year. The programs in Tisch build on the foundation established in the earlier years to more advanced training. I don’t know how the student would replace that, or even if they’d let someone in without the prior training.

I know that if you were LSP’ed having applied to Tisch you only stay at LSP one year and graduate in 4 years. But I don’t know if that’s your case.

I know some people who were LSP’d and then they internally transferred to Tisch and will be Tischies in the fall as sophomores.

What department in Tisch? Are you talking about Film/Tv or Drama? You would not be able to graduate with a BFA in Drama with only two years in Tisch. Any transfers into Tisch Drama, even if they’re technically a sophomore, will still have to begin studio as a freshman.
