I was wondering how hard is it to internally transfer for PeteE from electrical engineering? If for example you have a 4.0 but only for one semester, in my case for the spring 2011 semester, and have a 3.68 cbk gpa, but low overall like, 3.2, if counting from community college. But that one tamu semester a 4.0. Goal is to transfer for fall 2011 semester after first semester of tamu is completed.

I’m planning on doing the same, you only have to have a 2.75 cbk gpa and a 2.50 regular gpa. It’s also based on how many spots open up with probably the highest gpa or earliest appliers getting those spots.

Yeah I’ve read that

[ESSAP - Changing Majors](http://essap.tamu.edu/change-major.htm)

But the thing is do you need like an A&M GPA or would the community college GPA be suffice?

Also, the internal transfers are pretty much competing against “all spots” right such as freshman and transfer spots right? and are internal transfers given priority since they are already at A&M?

For example I would get into TAMU for SPRING 2011, so for my A&M GPA to count, I would need to wait until MAY 2011’s semester comes to an end. Then I would apply as an internal transfer for PeteE or do you recommend applying asap (like February or something) so that way I can try to get a spot, because my CBK GPA coming in should be roughly around 3.68. (But Community College GPA, but yes it counts toward CBK).

When are you trying to internally transfer?

I can’t really speak because I really don’t know which they prefer for sure. I’m hoping to transfer either the end of this semester or for sophomore year depending on what my advisor says about if engr 112 builds from 111 based on which track you’ve taken.
