<p>i'm posting for my friend who goes to a local chinese school. He's thinking of all the top ivies and also berkeley, ucla, ann arbor and uiuc, i personally think he has no chance in any of the schools, but i dunno, help me evaluate....</p>

<p>sat1: 720m 660v
sat2: 790 math 2c, 750 physics, 560 writing
toefl: 260
pretty bad grades, around straight B's 1or 2 C's (they use a different system)
i have no idea about his chances since i don't know anybody who goes to a non-english speaking school and applies to US colleges, help me evaluate his chances</p>

<p>well i suppose his 660 verbal is proof for his english proficiency, but I'd just be worried about the grades.
I'm an international too, but from an English speaking international school haha. What country are you from?</p>
