Has anyone here on CC received this scholarship, either this year or in previous years? There is very little information about it on the USC website, but does anyone know how many are awarded, who judges applications for these (ie. the school or the university) etc?

my son received the International Dean's last year and we didn't find out about it until April. We have no information as to how they select. We also don't understand why it was only 1/4 tuition when the website states that the award is for half tuition.

Are you sure that the International Dean's is the same as a International Freshman Academic Scholarship? Also, did you receive an early acceptance (ie January or February) ?

Yeah I was wondering too because technically not an international student but have lived and studied overseas my entire life, and it doesn't specify whether or not you have to be an international student, just that:
[quote]
"For entering freshmen only. Competitive candidates will be at the top of the applicant pool with respect to SAT scores, will typically be in the top 10 percent of their high school class, and will have extensive experience living and studying outside the United States"

im almost certain being an international student is not a requirement. You just have to have had international experiences, ie. studying and living abroad.

I know you can get Trustee if you are international. I know someone that did. I however didn't get an interview (grades :( ) so trying to figure out how else I can get there xD
