International midshipmen

<p>I know how hard this waiting game is, I'm waiting on news too. I'll have to wait a little longer, I'm applying as an international candidate from over here in Ireland, and the international admissions board doesn't meet till late April. It's so hard for me because I've been building myself up for the Academy for more than five years now, and nobody over here has ever even heard of USNA! </p>

<p>I've nobody to talk to about it over here, and I'd really like to hear any stories/comments/info/questions anyone might have on the whole international midshipmen thing.</p>

<p>On top of all this I've to study for the single set of exams in June at the end of our 14 yrs of school that determine whether we get a college place or not, no GPA's over here! (though if I get an appointment I won't have to do them!)</p>

<p>Wow, I can only imagine the tremendous pressure of waiting on such an important decision as an international student. The fact that you want to go to USNA is awesome, if you have any questions, please let me know and I'll fill you in as best I can. If you get in, I'll be in the class of 2009 with ya :)</p>
