STILL waiting on colgate and carleton, but having no hopes left.
anyway on my swarthmore rejection letter it says something like:
4900 applicants(=record number and 18% increase over last year) for an entering class of 370 students.
it sounds like this year was awful from the point of view of application pools at most univs. :(</p>

<p>I feel guilty for getting in when some of you who have better credentials didn't. Life IS unfair! But looks like it's all down to finaid. I feel like my Brown app is the one I devoted most care to, but the fact is that they're short of $$ and I was asking for full support for FIVE years, so it's only natural that I'm getting the thin envelope:D
Btw, did anyone notice that, with the usual high yield of CC'ers at Harvard, NO intels have got in?</p>

<p>seems like each succeeeding year is going to be yet stranger.. soon it may a lucky draw lottery system for colleges where there wud so many applicants that after initial screening the colleges will start using draw of lots for selections</p>
<p>Actually there is another twist to this..
welll it now seems that the international enrollement at US universities are reaching saturation points though the international interest in education has ever increased.. so with the increase it is quite obvious that coming years will see boost and rise in blooming other countries of education.. like UK.australia.germany.NZ.Singapore. well that quite to the contrary not happeneing due to the lower standard population but due to the higher increase in mubers.. so gud for masses..</p>
