International SAT 2011 December

on the paragraphs revisions fluffy?

I remember something about the birds able to travel unusually long distances

the graph is not drawn to the scale ! FluffyNoly, you are brilliant ! I did not even notice this stupid small reminder of collegeboard.

oh i think i put the starts in critical stages too. im not sure. i was in a hurry. time pressure :|

I also had 36 as answer. I also think the hair one was quite stupid. I chose 7. but apparently that’s wrong.
@ donnykim probably you are right. I don’t know both seemed correct so just went with first one.

for 30…“for instance…” was definitely the correct answer…

There was a tricky one…where they had a choice between altitude and “under such conditions.”…I would say the latter was the correct answer…And for the insert…I think the doing an experiment…was the correct one

@donnykim yeah improving paragraphs
@intelextreme Nah. i just saw this “~” thing in the graph so it got me thinking wth is that. hahaha

avConstant, agree with the birds para improvement

Anyone get f(16) as 24?

yea americano i got 24 !

@FluffyNoly “~” thing is what ???

what is this for instance of under such conditions about? :open_mouth: and @donnykim HOW DO YOU REMEMBER THE NUMBERS? O.o

under such conditions is correct. it was talking about day time migrating techniques and then night time. they conditions were referring to nighttime right?

@Fluff (I keep shortening your name lol) the ‘~’ is called a kink. It means that the whole graph isn’t shown and it’s been sorta compressed. I donno how to explain it.

um in the y-axis. below 9, there was something that looked like “~” it comes out in some graphs where you have hell lots of number to write on certain axis, so you just put THAT and omit some numbers below. i dont know if im making sense but yeah… :))

@fluffy In the paragraph revisions…for question 30, the correct answer was the one that had…“for instance…” and in question 32 or 33, the correct answer was the one that had “under such conditions…” referring to the birds migratory patterns/techniques at nighttime or something of that nature

@avConstant YEAHHH. there you go. HAHAHAHA. didn’t know the exact term for it. :P

The answer for polygon question is 65, right ?

~ is a kink , it means the first grid is not equal to other grids ( 1st was 9 units and others were 2 units )

What did you guys get for f (16) math
