International SAT 2011 December

@avconstant. glad you had 5  I just put 25 for the last one without calculating due to lack of time. It was a grid-in question, so no loss of point.

oh yeah. is that right? most strangely beautiful city. it sounded so bad. :(

@suppap "It wasnā€™t because he wanted to explain about some of peopleā€™s behavior though) so that left with one answer choice of ā€œAā€ U sure abt tat coz i put that in.I think the other choices didnt make sense

@ Fluff Use Google! just type it into the search bar. For the test I divided it into two parts 11cube x 25cube => div by 5
49cube x 25 cube => div by 5

So I just went with 5 :3

BTW put comments or agreements on my answer choices? ^^

WOW i just realized that my calcu SO CONVENIENTLY rounds off decimal answers. NO WONDER it was divisible by 3.

Btw, there was admiration in one of my answers for CR. I guess it was like tone question on the short passages.

Avconstant yeah you are right I just wish college board stops the ambiguous questions

@eatlovepray yeah i also had that.

@supp what was your answer in ā€œthe most strangely beautiful cityā€? :frowning: that word was my answer. sounds so. off :(

I had pastoral as answerā€¦ and I guess strangely beautiful sounds correct.

most strangely beautifulā€¦I thought it sounded strange at first tooā€¦but the first thing you have to be able to do when you mark something as incorrect is to fix itā€¦now usually the sat will test you one of two ways on this type of answerā€¦1) incorrect adverb/adjective usage)ā€¦2) superlative/comparative errorā€¦So, you wouldnā€™t change ā€œmost strangelyā€¦ā€ to the ā€œstrangest beautifulā€ or ā€œto the most strange beautifulā€ā€¦nor was it a comparisonā€¦so you wouldnā€™t change it to ā€œthe more strangely beautifulā€ā€¦hence a no error

what were the other answer choices for both passages suggest what? other than museums donā€™t display true facts? anyone remember?

i already have -2 in math. crossed fingers for generous curve ( which i think is possible cause many people thought math section was hard)

@donnykim. precisely. nothing was wrong with it. adverb was correctly modifying the adjective and superlative is correct. So, N.E.
Strangely beautiful, guess, just the word choice of the author who wrote this sentence

oh i also remember one question from CR. italized words from the museum passage. passage 2. the author italized it toā€¦ my answer was show the nature of the scientistsā€™ something.

ughh canā€™t remember the answers. Yeah, nature sth sounds familiar thought not so sure

for the 492511ā€¦ my calculator does not devide it by 3ā€¦ I put 5! is it really 3???

Is quintessential and cerebral one of the answers for sentence completion?

@supp no 5 is correct. my calculator just failed me.

I put cerebral for one of the questions
