International SAT December 1st 2012 Discussion for Critical Reading

Does anyone know the curve for this?

“Uninformed” and “numerous and unrecorded” are from the same question that asks what “untold” indicates.

hey guys! (Hiking / Architect passage) What is the question to the answer choice “the shards were found after the author focused on the stone” in the hiking / architect passage?

@tpsyflek yeah I know. I put uninformed… but general consensus was “numerous and unrecorded”… what did you put?

yeah, I also put uninformed

hi, guys, do you all choose ’ elephant paint deliberately’ in the elephant passage? i kind choose smth like intricate pattern

I also put “uninformed.” But “numerous and unrecorded” seems to be the correct one, unfortunately.

Can anyone confirm whether “she didn’t find what she had expected to find” was one of choices for the question - its answer is assumed to be “map was misleading”- in hiker passage?

What was the question for the answer choice, (there was one about) “the Indian tribe and the charities of earth” or possibly “the shards were found after the author focused on the stone”?

@tpsyflek the map was misleading was indeed one of the answer choices. For the earth coming alive with shards or something, I chose “she was unaware of it before she found the stone”

@tpsyflek

NOOOOOO It must be “uninformed” otherwise, my dream of 700 is crashed :(… but it’s 30:70 towards numerous and unrecorded… sadly…

I chose she didnt find what she had expect to find…

@ shuffling
same as your the answer

@Shuffling
Thank you!
I know that “misleading” was one of the answer choices.
But some people are saying that “she didn’t find what she had expected to find” was one of the answer choices and the correct answer and other people are saying that “she didn’t find what she had expected to find” is a paraphrased version of “misleading.”

@ olaolaolaola
so “she didn’t find what she had expected to find” was the separate answer choice?

by the way tpsyflek, for Soap Opera one, did you choose moving the sentence after sentence 7 or as it is?

I chose sentence 7!

As far as I remember,moving the sentence made more sense. And in that elephant passage,does anyone remember the context where Untold was used? I put uninformed because it was indicating the zoo keepers I think and there was no direct evidence in the passage that they were numerous and unrecorded. They didn’t realize the elephants were actually drawing so wouldn’t they be uninformed?

I think they have to be same and its people’s memory that messes it up… :stuck_out_tongue: at least what I hope so… I mean “she didnt expect what she found” and “map was misleading” kinda sounds similar…

can we compile a list os all possible answers cause the last one was pretty incomplete and not yet discussed please im nervous what u remember in all the passages … thanks

Bleh sucks finding out errors. :</p>

okkkk

Does anyone had figurative for answer for some question?? was it same question as answer personification?

“famous” irony vs other source… I think this is highly controversial.
