International student thinking of applying to fordham

<p>Hey alll i would love to go to fordham as the school is one of my choices </p>

<p>I'm of mixed race (Filipino, Indian, Sri Lankan and English) and I'm a Catholic. Will be the first person in my family to go to college. I'm in my junior year in high school. I will not need financial aid. </p>

<p>I got an 1820 on my SAT</p>

<p>Reading 690 </p>

<p>Math 590 </p>

<p>Writing 540 </p>

<p>Do loads of social services where i travelled to cambodia and thailands to help charities </p>

<p>MUN delegate of Netherlands </p>

<p>Sports teams : Rugby U16's, Basketball varsity team (3 years), Cross country varsity team. </p>

<p>Music : In 2 bands where i played in many events for my school</p>

<p>Prefect: I mentor freshmen kids during thursday mornings where I help them with A level choices by making presentations and introducing them to A level subjects such as Philosophy and Psychology. I also take lunch time duties where I watch over areas of the school and make sure these areas are in tip top shape. </p>

<p>Internship: I interned with a logistics company where i helped them redesign their website and i also tried to help them cut costs with the use of cell phones by finding cheaper options. </p>

<p>For my senior year I'm planning on getting the sports leader award as well as a life savers award. </p>

<p>I do A levels and do Business studies for an A level will this help me get into Fordham if i get an A in the subject? </p>

<p>Can someone give me an idea of the university? how is the environment there? what is the social scene? sports? anything to do with fordham.</p>

<p>I know someone from my high school who got rejected probably because of her sat scores. So I'll suggest you improve them to be on the safe side.
You have community service there and that would be an advantage too.
Well, I know it's a Jesuit school and one thing's gor sure, a Jesuit education is priceless.
And nobody hates you.</p>
