Hi guys,

I just found this forum and thought that it would be helpful to get your opinion on this.

I am a sophomore in the Dominican Republic. I am sick of my school; it is very disappointing to have almost an entire class of people just sitting there to get a diploma and nothing else. The economics teachers usually teach as a part time thing, so they aren't really devoted to it in any way. The general feeling is that they want the semester to be over. It is hard for schools here to get teachers so since they are so "in demand" they get away with being arbitrary and lazy. And so on...

So this is my situation:

High school average: 94.25/100 (very demanding bilingual private school)
SAT's: haven't taken them (signed up to take them this month)
SAT Subject Tests: won't be able to take them in time for the application deadlines so I was looking for options that were more flexible as to submitting these.

Major: Economics
1st Semester: A, A, A, A, A, A, B (7 courses, 22 credits)
2nd Semester: A, A, A, A, A, A (6 courses, 20 credits)
3rd Semester: A, A, A, A, C, C (6 courses, 19 credits)
Overall GPA: 3.8 (61 credits)

(Yes, one of the reasons why I decided to transfer was because of those C's I got in Statistics (Theory and Lab))

Last summer I took 9 credits in Georgetown and loved it! So I want to transfer there. I have read all of the threads that talk about GU but I haven't seen one about internationals.

So what do you guys think? My limitations are the subject tests, and well, I don't have my SAT scores yet. I also have a summer internship in DC.

Any other schools I should consider? (Although I really want to go to Georgetown)

Thank you very much for reading this! I appreciate any comments on this!
