I am seriously planning on transferring to GU next year.
I went to GU this winter and everything was what I expected. I like the majority of GU's students even though I never really talked to any of them, but they all looked very intelligent and hard working. But I did see some of the rich kids from Europe that don't speak good english but still got accepted to GU~
Since my major is government and want to be a politician in the future, so GU is defiantly my dream school.
I talked to one of the admission officers but as you may know, she didn't tell me anything special, just have a good college GPA, things like that.
Another thing really bothers me is that GU requires SAT score, so if you were a treasure student and got accepted, how did you prepare for SAT while having college workload?
If you can share your transfer experiences with me that will be truly great,
thanks in advance!

Georgetown also accepts the ACT, which I took during high school and submitted. From your post, I understand that you have not yet taken the SAT. As far as how to prepare, you have the summer ahead of you, and I recommend you take advantage to brush up on mathematics. The reading and writing you will practice during normal government classes, so you do not need to spend as much time on them. As is true of most universities concerning transfers, Georgetown will consider your college performance to a much greater degree than your performance in high school and on the SAT. That being said, just do your best and don’t let worrying about the SAT hamper your performance in class. Good luck!
