Internships for college credit?

Does anyone know how easy it is to get Northeastern to give you college credit for an internship? Also can I still get college credit even though the summer 1 semester has already started?

I'm a freshman and I have an interview coming up for an unpaid internship that requires that I get college credit for it.

Thanks for your help.

I believe you CAN get credit for internships, take a look at the info on internships that is available on the Career Services page of their website. You may want to talk to someone in Career Services about what needs to be done in order to get credit for your specific case

You absolutely need to talk to them BEFORE getting the job though. They’ll typically tell you “too bad” if you only ask for it afterwards.

Also I feel like pointing out that you don’t get ‘credit’ for co-op, but it counts towards the experiential education requirement for graduation (which I know wasn’t your question).
