Internships Question

Hi guys I recently came to the U.S and am a College Freshmen and I just a little bit confused about internships. Do you necessarilly need to know all the requirements the internships require you to know or just an idea? For example: lets say an accountant intern position, do you need to know all the accounting strategies(Administrative/Support Services, Advertising, Analyst, Architecture, Bookkeeping...etc) or can you apply without knowing any of it and they will teach it to you? What If I just declared my major(international business) and know pretty much nothing about the techniques and strategies, may I still apply for an internship? Do they even have internships for people who are complete beginners and know not much?

You can still apply to internships without having taken all the detailed courses. Usually, the job posting tells you who can apply ( sophomore standing and up or junior standing and up…etc). Some companies expect you to not know alot since you’re in school.
