<p>I am considering majoring in journalism (maybe English) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how internship/job placement is. Obviously, NYC is a big boost but is NYU highly regarded for companies in the area. I was considering double majoring in Cinema Studies, as I would really like to work at some kind of entertainment magazine.</p>

<p>Also, is there a vibrant Jewish population at NYU? I'm sure there are a TON of Jewish people, but is it an active community?</p>

<p>I'm not a journalism major, but I do know kids working at MTV and CBS, so I'd say you can definitely get decent internships.</p>

<p>Yes, there is a very vibrant Jewish population. We have a kosher dining hall and everything.</p>
