I just received a message (Feb. 21) from a Yale alumnus saying that he would like to interview me.

I read on College discussions that the interview report was due Feb. 15th.....so I was just wondering is it normal to get an interview this late...or is this a scam/joke/something else?

Is it normal? Who knows. I doubt it's a joke/scam however. There may have been a back log and the CA regional rep may be asking as many incomplete reports be done as possible. I had one lingering and only got it in on Feb 20. The 15th was the target date for us to get everything in but I can imagine that your report will still be useful to the committee. Best of luck to you

Same deadline for everyone. It could be that your interviewers are out to lunch about the deadline. The due date was March 1 for years if not decades. It could be a backlog situation like T26 described and Yale told the interviewers to do the interviews and keep their fingers that they made it in the applicants' files before the applicants went to to committee. It's not like they won't accept reports turned in after the 15th, it's just that it may be too late. I am under the impression that the admissions committee started meeting this week.
