Do you guys think it is mandatory to have an interview in order to be accepted to Princeton U?? I can not find any alumni interviewers in my country?? What should I do now??
Thanks in advance!

Don't worry about it. The inteview is not mandatory. It is optional and informational (not evaluative). You will not be at a disadvantage if you do not have an interview. You don't even have to contact them about an interview. Princeton will contact you. Phone interviews might even be available if there are no alumni in your country.

oh no, interviews for P-ton are absolutely Evaluative, they have a form, letter to send adcom, my interviewer took notes & everything, but they are not mandatory and you will not be penilized if there isn't one available, and i hear they are not that big of a component, may break the tie b/w a couple of applicants or something like that, only reflects realy badly if you refuse one if you were offered it, other than that your will be fine :)

Another question on this topic:
Is it already too late to be contacted for an interview? I haven't heard from Princeton about anything, though a couple of my friends had their interview last week and the week before.

The deadline as I understand it, is about March 4th.

I was never contacted for an interview, so I wrote an email to Princeton, since I know there are alumni in my area. Someone contacted me via email, and told me to call him to set up an interview time. I called and left a message on his cell phone, but he never responded. What should I do? Will it look bad if I don't have the interview? Btw, I called him last wednesday.

Call him again.

What do interview ratings include?

i think it's mostly a reflective letter of what the interviewer thought of you

I am curious if there is a form to fill out by the interviewer? Just similar as the teacher evaluation form. For example, rate from 1 to 5 for each category: interest in the college, creativity, expression........

I got contacted today ^_^.

Daughter got contacted today, too. Then again, her supplement to the common app wasn't received so she had to send it a second time. Got confirmation on Friday it was received and a request for an interview! Funny as she came home from school yesterday, a bit bummed as Princeton is recruited one of her best friends for track. He hadn't applied; his only college application she helped him complete!

Never mind, he called me back yesterday and I have an interview set up for Thursday.

My D still has heard nothing about an interview, and we are only 40 min outside of Boston. I can't believe there would be nobody available. And she applied regular decision back in October!

Don't stress too much about the interview guys... it's honestly just a conversation so that you get to know about pton and they get to know a bit about you. I think it's meant to add a bit more of a personal touch to the process, and it's your chance to really assess your own interest in pton and air any burning questions you may have. Yes, you are evaluated, but it's incredibly incredibly unlikely that they're gonna make a decision on your application based on your interview. So treat it as just that, a conversation, and good luck!
