I understand that there are math courses in ILR, AEM, Arts and Sciences (Math, Econ, Sociology, Psychology), and Human ecology that teach introductory statistics. Which course is the easiest to earn an A or A+ (A in hs and 5 on AP exam so I hope to perform well in this class)

I am hoping to find the course/teacher where i will A) have the least statistics aptitude in my classmates (assuming it is curved) and B) the highest mean/average GPA. Thanks to anyone for help! C) least coursework

I’ve heard ILR requires the least work. I can only speak for AEM, which isn’t incredibly difficult but still challenging.

AEM and CAS intro stats (Not the math one) are the easiest. ILR stats is not bad either, but it is quite different from the other intro stats.

I took Math 171 and it was an easy A+. Perfect attendance will boost your grade by half a grade so all you had to go was get an A (means on tests were ~90 so the tests were not challenging).

norcal it has been a while since you’ve graduated - courses and their difficulty may have changed.

This might sound stupid at first, but OP, consider taking ENGRD 2700. You need to get low Bs/B on the prelims and a C on the final for an A, roughly.

I took PAM Stats and thought it was easy, but I think the general consensus is that ILR / Arts Stats is the easiest because it involves the least math in the class, its more conceptual.

I took 1710 A&S as a sophomore in fall '10. Had a 5 on AP exam, got an A- in the class (didn’t really try though).

General consensus is that Arts 1710 is the hardest. PAM, ILR, AEM stats are all easy. I had a friend who took PAM stats, he said that the prelim questions came literally from the homework…just the #'s were switched. Engineering I have no clue about.

You know what they’re all easy. Just pick one out of a hat. Nobody can really judge without bias because they have not taken more than one intro stats i presume.
