There was at least one essay on the admission application. There was an essay for the I2E faculty scholarship that was due about a week later. Hope this helps.

Hmm, I’m very confused. My son applied to Baylor in probably August. He never applied for the I2E faculty scholarship since he hasn’t gone to it yet, so I’m unclear on how he could have something due for the faculty scholarship when he’s not even been to I2E yet. He’ll go in January but it seems like this is too late? Sorry, but this all seems very confusing. I guess my son should just email his counselor at Baylor and ask these questions.

The admission counselor will clear everything up for you. I think that Baylor divides the faculty scholarships between the November and January events. We know someone who also plans to attend in January, and she has been told she’ll be eligible for the faculty scholarship. I also think that students who attended the November I2E will hear about he scholarship soon.

Has anyone received notification on the I2E faculty scholarship yet? Wondering if there have been awards given before the December 23rd date…

My son went to the January I2E and has submitted the essay. Can anyone who attended the fall I2E tell me how long it took to hear from Baylor regarding the scholarship? Whether you received it or not, I am just curious on how long the wait was. Also did they let you know via snail mail or email?

Last year it was snail mail, and remember just going earns you 2K which helps. You could check the dates from last year on here but I think it took a few weeks. Good luck! Also Baylor has additional honors scholarships available besides the scholarship calculator check out the Betsy Robbins scholarship among others on the scholarship page.

Does anyone who went to the Nov '11 I2E know if EVERY attendee is notified, whether they have received a scholarship or not? Has anyone who went to the Jan '12 I2E been notified yet?

Checking the mail daily and still no word regarding the faculty scholarship. Has anyone else heard one way or the other?

no word yet on the results of the I2E essay/faculty scholarship.

I have heard every applicant is notified whether they have or have not received the scholarship. Also, last year people were notified March 2nd, so it could be any day now!

Still no word for me. I thought we were supposed to be notified by March 1. I’m guessing the winners have heard and I’m waiting for the kind but sad " we regret" letter. I will let you all know when I hear officially.

I still have not heard either do you really think they send “congratulations” and “we regret” letters out at separate times?

Just checked mail…still nothing. :(

Mail came today - my S did not get the Faculty scholarship. I hope this doesn’t deter him from going there. Good Luck to everyone else.

Can anyone tell me how many scholarships are given at each invitation to excellence?

I was invited, however I cannot attend. I was offered the $1k scholarship and the opportunity to apply for a faculty scholarship.
I will be studying abroad during that weekend. Do you think I should call to decline and explain my situation?

My understanding is there are 10 per event.

My friend got her letter today. No scholarship for her, but my letter hasn’t arrived. Don’t know if that means anything :/

Has anyone heard from Baylor regarding the Faculty Scholarship from the fall 2013 Invitation to Excellence?

We are still waiting…
