Invited to interview at Penn LPS

<p>I just received notice this afternoon that I am invited to attend an interview with Penn LPS. Does gaining an interview mean that I am being seriously considered? Do you find out your admissions decision after you attend an interview? Does anyone here know what the interviews are like? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!</p>

<p>I also received an invitation. I’d like to know T26’s sourcing on this. I’ve read a couple stories where people were admitted without an interview. This was the first one I could find.

<p>I was also told by Evangelyn Diaz, one of their recruiters, that admissions “may” request an interview before making an offer. All and all I viewed it as good, but not great, news.</p>

Admissions interviews are offered on volunteer availability. Being offered an interview doesn’t mean you have a better shot at admissions, it simply means an alumnus in your area volunteered to do it. </p>

<p>LPS Admission != Freshman Admissions, thank God. OTOH @JMEG, it might mean something more than I thought <a href=“http://www.sas.upenn.edu/lps/undergraduate/ba/admissions”>http://www.sas.upenn.edu/lps/undergraduate/ba/admissions&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

<p>“Candidates under serious consideration are invited to interview with a member of the Admissions Committee on campus or remotely.”</p>

<p>Also note, the story I linked to above was someone applying as a BFA. Do you mind saying when your interview is? In any case, good luck.</p>
